Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The 8th Dhaka Motor Show 2013 concluded on Saturday in the city with huge response from buyers and car-loving people.
More than 9,000 visitors came to visit the fair this year, up from 8,500 visitors last year, according to the organizers.
They expressed satisfaction over the response at the motor show from the visitors, although ‘hartal’ disrupted its activities on Thursday. But some of the participants expressed dissatisfaction about this year’s fair compared to the previous one.
Navana Ltd, executive (sales) Abdur Rasel reportedly said: “Most of the visitors come to the motor show to know about the latest model of cars and related information about automobiles. But only 10 per cent of visitors buy cars.”
“Camry, a luxury hybrid car attracts the people most in the fair but the 2500 cc stylish car costs Tk 7.0 million. The camry is fuel efficient, self-charging battery powered. It has also nano-technology,” he said.
Nitol Motors Ltd, (distributor of TATA vehicles in Bangladesh) Mahmud Rasel Senior executive (sales and marketing) said: “We’ve got good response at the fair as our indigo and manza attracted visitors most.”
CEMS (Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd) Global -USA in association with CEMS Bangladesh organized the motor show which started on March 28.
