Dhaka stocks continue to decline last week

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Dhaka stocks continued to decline with falling trend in turnover in the last week, market operators said.

The benchmark index, DGEN, retraced 0.75 percent or 47.04 points in the week. All share price index, DSI lost 0.66 percent (-34.62 points) while the blue-chip index, DSE-20 lost 0.83 percent (-34.67 points) in the last week.

Turnover declined 54.6 percent in the last week. Daily average turnover value stood at BDT 4.0 billion compared to last week’s average turnover value of BDT 8.8 billion.

Total turnover value stood at 20.0 billion down from last week’s value of BDT 44.2 billion.
