Dhaka stocks edge higher

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Dhaka stocks closed marginally higher Monday amid volatile trading throughout the session with turnover remained in lower level.

After four-hour trading, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange ended at 4,150.72 points, rising by 6.18 points or 0.14 per cent.

Turnover value stood at Tk 1.82 billion against Tk 1.97 billion in the previous session.

Out of 263 issues traded, 136 advanced, 101 declined and 26 remained unchanged.

A total of 0.060 million trades were executed with 50.88 million  trading volume.

Beximco Limited dominated the top turnover chart with shares worth Tk 195.15 million changing hands.

FAS Finance was the day’s highest gainer posting 9.95 per cent rise while Reliance One was the worst loser, slumping by 5.61 per cent.

Earlier, on Sunday, the DGEN lost 30 points.
