Dhaka stocks fall

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka stocks on Tuesday closed in the negative ground after rising in the previous four sessions, market operators said. 
  
The benchmark Dhaka Stock General Exchange Index (DGEN) retraced 80.07 points (-1.23 percent) to close at 6,455.81 points on the day. 
The broader DSE All Shares Price Index (DSI) and DSE-20 lost 63.34 points (-1.17 percent) and 59.45 points (-1.46 percent) respectively. 
The market lost across the board: banks (-1.81 percent), non-banking financial institutions (-1.32 percent), power (-1.43 percent), telecommunication (-0.82 percent) and pharmaceuticals (-0.12 percent). 
Total turnover value stood at BDT 11.5 billion, which is 8.3 percent higher than Monday’s value. Aftab Automobiles topped the turnover chart with turnover value of BDT 484.4 million.
