Dhaka stocks fall again

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka stocks closed in the negative ground on Tuesday amid high volatility throughout the trading session, market operators said. 
 
The general index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), popularly known as DGEN, closed at 6,318.15 points losing 139.83 points. 
The broader DSE All Shares Price Index (DSI) and DSE-20 retraced 2.19 percent and 2.23 percent respectively. 
Most of the major sectors retraced on the day: banks (-3.04 percent), non-banking financial institutions (-2.14 percent), telecommunication (-4.02 percent), pharmaceuticals (-1.66 percent) and power (-2.70 percent). 
Turnover value stood at BDT 11.5 billion, 8.7 percent higher than Monday’s value. Beximco Limited topped the turnover chart with BDT 598.91 million turnover.
