Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Dhaka stocks declined on Sunday continuing last two weeks falling trend amid street protest by a section of investors

The market opened with a steep fall and plummeted more than 80 points within 20 minutes. After that DGEN fluctuated several times and finally ended 85 points lower.
 
The benchmark General Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DGEN), plunged 85.49 points or 1.73 percent to close at 4,846.80.
 
The losers took a strong lead over the gainers as out of 253 issues traded, only 31 advanced, 216 declined and six remained unchanged.
 
Beximco Limited topped the turnover chart worth BDT 108.35 million changing hands.
 
Tallu Spinning was the top gainer posting 9.86 percent rise while Altex Industries was the worst losers, losing 9.15 percent.
