Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka stocks fell on Monday, as the investors preferred to book profit on banking, pharmaceuticals and energy shares, market operators said. 
The benchmark DSE General Index (DGEN) ended at 6622.52, shedding 0.75 per cent or 50.44 points.  The broader DSE All Shares Price Index (DSI) was down by 0.66 per cent or 36.98 points to 5525.22. The DSE-20 blue chip index lost 1.23 per cent or 48.25 points to finish at 3848.29.
Monday’s turnover value was BDT 15.4 billion; 6.7 percent higher than last Thursday’s value. 
Most of the sectors declined on Monday including Banks (-1.31 percent), Pharmaceuticals (-2.16 percent) and Fuel & Power (-1.04 percent). 
On the other hand, telecommunication (+0.27 percent), Cement (+0.41 percent) and non-banking financial institutions (NBFIs) (+0.14 percent) gained on the day.
