Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Dhaka stocks gained further on Tuesday as investors retained faith in fresh investment, market operators said. 
The market gained sharply for the second running session as all three indices continue to recover from the record fall on Sunday. 
Dhaka Stock Exchange General Index (DGEN) gained 2.63 percent or 209.47 points on Tuesday; the benchmark index moved up more than 500 points in the last two trading sessions. The broader All Shares Price Index (DSI) and DSE-20 gained 2.60 percent and 3.31 percent respectively. 
The market gained on the day banking on Grameenphone (GP), Banks and Power companies.
The GP advanced 13.81 percent and 34 percent in total in the last two sessions. Banks and Fuel & Power advanced 3.87 percent and 5.43 percent respectively. 
Total turnover also improved on the day; it was BDT 16.8 billion, 15 percent higher than Monday’s value. Grameenphone alone contributed about one-eighth of the total turnover with BDT 2.1 billion trade value.
