Dhaka stocks open with mixed trend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) begins with mixed trend on Thursday, the last trading day of the week after a massive plunged in the previous session.

The first ten minutes the of the trading, DSE general index lost 33 points, after that it started to advanced and at about 11.25am, the benchmark general index of the Dhaka stock Exchange—DGEN gained 74 points or 1.91 per cent to stands at 3,961. It again it sliding mood and lost 12 points at about 11.30 am and stands 3,948.

Turnover value stands at BDT 332 million till fill the report at 11.30am while 0nly 85 issues advanced, 117 declined 17 remained unchanged.

GP was the topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 24 million changing hands within first half an hour.

On Wednesday, the DGEN lost 266 points and come down below the 4,000 points mark since November 15, 2009 to 27 months low.
