Dhaka stocks open with mixed trend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) began on Wednesday with a mixed trend as it open with positive note and advanced 40 points within 15 minutes but next 15 minutes it went to negative and lost 16 points.
The benchmark general index of the DSE, generally known as DGEN, slipped 16.53 points or 0.41 per cent to stands at 3,928 till filing the report at about 11.30am (local time)
Out of 217 issues traded, 133 advanced, 69 declined and 15 remained unchanged while turnover value stands at BDT 526 million.
GP toped turnover chart with shares worth BDT 90 million changing hands during the period under review.
After several sessions of back to back substantial losses, Dhaka stocks closed 329 points or 9.10 per cent higher on Tuesday.
