Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Dhaka stocks opened with mixed trend on Thursday, the last treading of the week as investors, particularly institutions are almost inactive, market operators said.
The benchmark Dhaka Stock General Exchange Index (DGEN) decreased by 20.02 points or 0.39 percent and stood at 5011.16 till filing of the report at 12:37 pm (local time).
Out of 229 issues traded, 68 were positive, 143 lost and 18 unchanged, the DSE data showed.
The benchmark DSE General Index (DGEN), the yardstick of the market, shed 20.48 points or 0.40 per cent to close at 5,031.18 on Wednesday.
The broader DSE All Shares Price Index (DSI) plunged 18.64 points or 0.44 per cent to close at 4,197.10. The DSE-20 blue-chip index also fell 25.50 points or 0.67 per cent to close at 3,756.99.
