Dhaka stocks open with negative mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange starts with a negative note, continuation of the previous week’s bearish trend as most of the issues lost in prices.

At about 11.25am, the benchmark general index of the Dhaka stock Exchange—DGEN lost 32 points or by 0.72 per cent to stands at 4,454.39.

Turnover value stands at BDT 243 million till fill the report at 11.25am. Out of 195 isues traded, only 23 gained, 155 declined and 17 unchanged.

Makson Spinning was the topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 14 million changing hands.

Last week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) lost 459.51 points or 9.29 per cent to close at 4,486.98 to came down to 25 months low.
