Dhaka stocks open with negative mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) started with a negative note on Thursday, the last trading day of the week, maintaining the previous day’s downtrend and key index lost more than 50 points within half an hour.
The market slipped 50.28 points or 1.17 per cent within first half an hour and stands at 4,234.25.
Turnover value stood at BDT 190 million till filling the report at 11.30am.
Out of 186 issues traded, 17 advanced, 153 declined while 16 remained unchanged.
Singer Bangladesh top the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 18.14 million changing hands.
Earlier, on Wednesday, the DSE lost 104 or 2.38 percent while turnover declined to only BDT 1.79 billion to one month low.
