Dhaka stocks open with positive mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange starts with a positive note on Tuesday as investors in buying mood following the news of meeting with securities regulators and key stakeholders as investors expected positive outcome from the meeting.

The benchmark general index of the Dhaka stock Exchange —DGEN gained 50 points or by 1.17 per cent to stands at 43361.50 points till fill the report at 11.30am (local time) on the day.

Turnover value stands at BDT 350 million during the period while 174 issues advanced, 22 declined eight remained unchanged.

Grameenphone (GP) was the topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 28.66 million changing hands within first half an hour.

After consecutive downtrend, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) gained 103 points or 2.76 per cent on Monday.
