Dhaka stocks open with positive mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Dhaka stocks on Wednesday opened with positive mode after suspension of trading of the previous day, market operators said.

The benchmark Dhaka Stock General Exchange Index (DGEN) increased by 161.20 points or 2.26 percent and stood at 7301.45 till filing of the reports at about 1:19 pm (local time).

On Wednesday, trading at Dhaka and Chittagong stock exchanges has been deferred by two hours to start at 1:00pm. The trading will continue till 3:00pm.
