Dhaka stocks open with steep gain, nine investors freed

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) strongly rebound on Tuesday and begins with a steep gain, after free fall on Monday and the key index advanced 195 points within first 15 minutes of trading.
At about 11.15am, benchmark general index of the DSE, generally known as DGEN, gained 195.95 points or 5.41 per cent and stands at 3,812.18 points.
Turnover value stood at BDT 285 million in value terms while 206 issues gained and only 2 lost in prices almost reversal from previous session.
GP was the turnover chat with shares worth BDT 18 million changing hands till 11.15am (local time).
Meanwhile police freed the nine investors Monday midnights who were detain from in front of the DSE Monday noon.
