Dhaka stocks rebound strongly

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) strongly rebounded on Tuesday, a day after sharp decline and reversal trend from the previous session and key index gained more than nine per cent.
All the issues traded on the day advanced in prices as 261 issues traded all are gained on the day.
Market insiders said investor’s somewhat take breath and optimistic following the concern of some parliament’s members regarding recent volatility of the stock market at the parliament on Monday.
The market opened with a flying note, gaining more than 195 points within first 15 minutes. The upbeat mood continued till the market closure and finally ended 329 points higher.
The benchmark general index of the DSE, generally known as DGEN, gained 329.14 points or 9.10 per cent to close at 3,945.39 points on the day. On Monday DGEN lost 229 points or almost six per cent.
Turnover value stood at BDT 1.91 billion in value term against 2.12 billion in the previous session.
GP was the topped turnover chart with shares worth BDT 182.04 million changing hands.
The other turnover leaders were RN Spinning, NBL, United Airways, Beximco Limited, LankaBangla Finance, SIBL, DBBL, Squre Pharma, Jamuna Oil.
