Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka University (DU) is going to introduce online application for student admissions to the first year honours courses for the 2010-11 session.
”We’ve already decided to introduce online admission process, and its launching date will be finalised at a meeting on August 24,” DU Vice-chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique was quoted by The Daily Star, a local newspaper, as saying. ”We’ve taken the initiative as per our aim to digitize the university’s academic and administrative activities.”
The admission process is tentatively scheduled to begin on September 21.
The VC also said the online system will also ease students’ sufferings in buying and submitting admission forms as they will be available at www.admission.univdhaka.edu on the internet.
Every year, college graduates go through a lot of hassles to buy and submit admission forms.
Students, who successfully completed the HSC examinations in 2009 and 2010 and fulfil other requirements set by the DU authorities, will be eligible to take the admission tests.
