Texas, US (BBN) – This well-dressed rescue dog is about to be reunited with his foster siblings, thanks to social media.
Frito the dog was pictured in his black tie-best on his owner’s Facebook page alongside a message that explained he would like to look for the adopted siblings he met at a foster home before his adoption in October 2015, reports Inside Edition.
The sign reads: “Hi, my name is Frito. I was adopted from Texas Humane Heroes on Oct 24, 2015. I’m looking for my siblings whose names were: Domino, Snow, Raven, Cali, Buddy and Aspen.
Please share my post so I can reunite with them for a puppy [playdate] at Texas Humane Heroes! #AdoptDontShop.”
His owner, Corrie Gemmiti of Leander, explained that when she first adopted Frito, the woman fostering the puppies offered to send pictures of the group.
She then revisited the photos recently and “wondered what they all looked like and if they’d remember each other if they saw each other again,” Gemmiti told InsideEdition.com.
With the help of the rescue Frito was adopted from, Texas Humane Heroes, they were able to track down four of Frito’s six brothers and sisters in less than two days.
The rescue reportedly used their adoption records to locate the new families.
The four dogs are now planning to family reunion on February 18 in the rescue’s yard, and hope to track down the remaining two pups in the meantime.
