Washington, US (BBN)-Tillie and Phoebe, an Irish Setter and a Bassett Hound, went missing and their humans were looking for them everywhere they could.
Dogs might be man’s best friends but it turns out they extend the same loyalty to their canine buddies as well, reports the NDTV.
A story of two little doggy-friends from Washington, America is going viral for all the right reasons.
Tillie and Phoebe, an Irish Setter and a Bassett Hound, went missing and their humans were looking for them everywhere they could.
They asked a group called Vashon Island Pet Protectors to help and it was this group that used Facebook to post an update about the missing pets.
The pooches were found an entire week later when someone notified the group that a “reddish dog had been coming up to them when they were out on their property.”
They noticed the dog then going into a ravine after her brief appearance.
The group followed the breadcrumbs and eventually found the puppies after a week of searching.
They called out to Tillie and got “a small one-woof response” from the dog. ”
A few minutes later we found her lying beside an old cistern with her head resting on the concrete wall,” the team said on Facebook.
They understood that Phoebe was probably stuck inside the cistern.
They found little Phoebe sitting atop some rubble that helped her keep away from the water.
“For nearly a week Tillie stayed by her side with the exception of the few minutes each day when she went for help,” a post on Facebook said.
Isn’t that incredible? Little Tillie stayed by her friend Phoebe, giving her company and comforting her with her presence through the week.
She also managed to alert other humans to their location.
“A true friend and a humbling example of the power of love,” it says on Facebook. Don’t you agree?
