DSE benchmark index touches new highs

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The country’s premier bourse finished the shortened week in greens, market operators said.

The benchmark Dhaka Stock Exchange General Index (DGEN) finished the week at all time closing high of 7,615.37 points, marking a rise of 122.54 points or 1.64 percent over the previous week.

Although total turnover dropped 18 percent to BDT 81.7 billion, average daily turnover was rose by 2.6 percent to BDT 20.4 billion, they added.
