DSE CEO resigns

Last updated: January 10, 2013

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Chief executive officer (CEO) of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Dr. Musharraf M. Hussain resigned on personal ground, officials said.

The DSE officials have confirmed his resignation, saying that he submitted his resignation letter at 5pm to the board on Wednesday.

Different sources said due to distance, created between the DSE CEO and the board members because of some complexities, he resigned from his post.

Mr Musharraf joined the DSE at the end of December 2011, following the approval of his appointment by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
