Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The country’s both bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – edged marginally higher for the third consecutive session on Thursday with stable turnover value.

The DSE General Index (DGEN) ended at 4,171.4 points, adding 3.71 points or 0.08 per cent.

The turnover of the premier bourse — DSE stood at BDT 2.11 billion at the end of the day’s trading session almost same from previous trading session.

Of the 269 issues traded on the premier bourse, 109 advanced, 129 declined and 31 remained unchanged.

United Airways topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 230.62 million changing hands.

Hakkani Pulp and Paper was the day’s highest gainer posting a rise of 10 per cent while Malek Spinning was the worst loser, plunging by 9.79 per cent.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) also closed higher with the Selective Categories Index of the CSE gained 10.11 points to close at 8,095.89 points.
Losers beat gainers 62 to 88 with 20 issues remaining unchanged on the port city bourse with BDT 233.22 million in turnover.
