DSE sees biggest single-day gain in 7-month

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-The benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSEX) registered 1.76 percent rise Sunday, the biggest single-day gain in the last seven months.

The positive mood prevailed at the DSE as withdrawal of capital gain tax in the final budget spurred the investors to the market.

DSEX went up by 77.64 points or 1.76 percent to close at 4,487.07 points.

It was the biggest single-day gain in the last seven months since December 3, 2013.

On that day, DSEX gained 112.80 points or 2.69 percent.
