DSE sells 12 more memberships for raising capital

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has sold more 12 memberships at the price of BDT 322 million each in a bid to raise its paid-up capital, officials said. 
The paid-up capital of DSE will be increased by over BDT 3.84 billion after the completion of payment for 12 memberships by the upcoming DSE members.
In the article of memorandum of DSE, there is a provision of issuing maximum 250 licenses of memberships, although presently 238 members are running their business in the prime bourse.
The DSE president Rakibur Rahman said the fund, which will come from the sales of new memberships, will enter into reserve fund. And the collected fund will also be utilized to strengthen the proposed settlement guaranteed fund along with bearing the expenditure of constructing the new building of DSE.
