Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Korea Exchange (KRX) to facilitate formation of clearing house and introduction of new products at the premier bourse, officials said.
The MoU was signed on October 29 after the general assembly of World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) in Seoul, the capital of South Korea.
DSE managing director Dr. Swapan Kumar Bala and KRX chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) Kyoungsoo Choi signed the MoU on behave of their respective exchanges.
Md. Shakil Rizvi, an incumbent director and former DSE president, was also present during the signing ceremony.
“The country’s major –DSE is going to launch Hi-tech trading platform as part of the initiative to turn the premier bourse into the most dynamic one,” Mr. Bala said at the signing ceremony of the MoU.
The DSE managing director said investors would be able to trade from any part of the world after the modernisation of the premier bourse.
The DSE delegate also attended the general assembly of World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) held within the timeframe of October 27 to October 29, 2014 in Seoul.
The DSE delegate also held a bilateral meeting with the representatives of KRX.
