Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) is going to launch web-based trading software-MSA Plus (Member's Server Application) from June 10 aiming to create a virtual marketplace for share transactions.
Dr Musharraf M Hussain, chief executive officer of the DSE made the announcement at a press briefing held at its office in Dhaka on Wednesday.
"We’re ready to launch the much-waited web-based trading software-MSA Plus and the investors from any part of the world can place buy and sell order from 10:30am to 2:30pm (BST) through the system," he said.
He hoped that the participation of investors would be increased significantly following the introduction of the system.
The premier bourse took the initiative to support the government plan of 'Digital Bangladesh, he added.
A S M Khairuzzaman, chief technology officer of the DSE, explained the technological aspects and how to work the MSA-Plus software.
He said to meet the potential growth of trade and prospective investors, the DSE is all set to upgrade its current 'TESA Trading Software (Client Part) to 'MSA-Plus', through which electronic trading will be introduced.
After the launch of the MSA-Plus system, every BO account holders will get a password from the respective brokerage house so that he or she can log into the server. After logging into the trading server, the investor, however, must change the password to maintain secrecy, he added.
