During the inauguration of an e-commerce fair in Dhaka recently, industry insiders agreed that to increase the growth of e-commerce ventures in Bangladesh, marketers should emphasise more on creating trust and taking greater security measures.
“The time has come to focus on creating a positive impression about e-commerce platforms among customers to benefit from inherent growth potential,” said Mohammad Abdur Rouf, chief operating officer of Aarong and added that customer confidence on virtual stores will significantly increase if online marketers can deliver as stated.

Mustafa Jabbar, former president of Bangladesh Computer Samity, the national association of ICT companies, has urged the government to create a proper guideline for e-commerce ventures.
