Earthquake jolts Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted different parts of Bangladesh including capital Dhaka Tuesday afternoon.
The quake shook buildings and sent people rushing out to the streets around 3:09:02pm (BST), according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
No casualty was reported immediately.
The epicenter of the quake was 36.1 km which was some 19km northeast of Ambasa in Tripura state of India, the USGS added.
It was some 168km east from the Agargaon Seismic Centre in Dhaka.
Times of India adds: An earthquake of magnitude 5.7 on Richter scale jolted Tripura on Tuesday afternoon.
Mild tremors were felt across northeast India.
