Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The two-day Education USA Fair-2011 will begin in the capital Dhaka on Thursday (March 17).
The free two-day event will give students and parents a chance to speak directly with American university admissions officers from nine
U.S. educational institutions about the US admissions process, financial aid and the particular strengths of their schools, a US embassy press statement said in Dhaka on Monday.
The American Center of the US Embassy in Dhaka will sponsor the fair which will include several large public research institutions, including the University of Tennessee, the University of Iowa and the University at Buffalo SUNY, as well as Agnes Scott College, a private liberal arts college for young women.
Other schools represented include peaceful, rural campuses such as the University of Northern Iowa and bustling, urban schools like Fairleigh Dickinson and the University of Denver. Tour representatives come from all over the nation-from Lamar University on the Gulf Coast to Idaho State University in the Rocky Mountains.

Attendees can also ask Bangladeshi alumni of US universities about their experiences studying in the United States.
