Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals of Muslims, will be celebrated on November 17 as the Jilhaz moon was sighted on Sunday. 
The National Moon Sighting Committee meeting this evening announced that the Jilhaz moon was sighted on Sunday in Bangladesh. Hence, the Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on November 17 this year.
State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shajahan Mia who is also president of the committee presided over the meeting.
