Ershad leads Teesta Barrage long march January 17

Rangpur, Bangladesh (BBN)- Jatiya Party on Sunday announced a long march from capital Dhaka towards Teesta Barrage on January 17, 2012  demanding deserved share of Teesta water.

Jatiya Party Chairman Hussein Mohammad Ershad, MP, will lead the two-day long-march, which will start from the party`s Banani office in Dhaka on January 17 and will travel through 20 districts before ending in Nilphamari on January 18.

Jatiya Party, a component of the ruling coalition, Chief and former President Erhsad announced the long march at a press conference held at Rangpur Circuit House Sunday night.

The long-march, which will consist of over 800 vehicles will stay overnight in Rangpur and is scheduled to restart from the Rangpur Zilla School on January 18 to Teesta Barrage at Dalia in Nilphamari district.
