Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The Euro (EUR) fell to 1.3478 against the US Dollar (USD), edging back towards the nine-month low of USD 1.3443 hit last week.

EUR continued to be hurt by persistent worries about Greece’s fiscal woes and slid to a one-year low of 120.62 against the Japanese Yen (JPY), according to reports.

US stocks rose after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke reaffirmed his commitments to keep US interest rates exceptionally low for an extended period.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average climbed up 91.75 points to 10,374.16. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 22.46 points to finish at 2,235.90.
