Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Facebook and Instagram, the two most popular social networking sites, were restored after the disruption for nearly an hour on Tuesday.  
Though the sites were restored but those were not found fully operational.
“There was a problem updating your status. Please try again in a few minutes,” users are greeted with the message when trying to update the status or like or share a post.
The disruption was faced both on the Web and via mobile apps.
Facebook said it is trying to work out the technical problems.
The platforms are found down around 12:10pm (BST) in Bangladesh.
The reasons for the outage aren’t clear at this point.
Users from the United States and India also reported that they were unable to log on to the website.
Representatives at Facebook were not immediately available for comment.

The last instance of Facebook going down was back in September, when the social network went down twice that month.

Founded in 2003 by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook has grown into the most popular social networking site in the world with an estimated 1.3 billion active users.
In February 2012, the company, which is headquartered in Menlo Park, Carlifornia, held an initial public offering that led to a peak market capitalization of $104 billion.
