Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Leaders of the country’s apex trade body have invited the business community of France for investment in the potential sectors of Bangladesh and joint venture with the local companies.

This was discussed at a meeting on Friday at Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a 42-member business delegation of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) now visiting France in a four country trip in west Europe.

Roger Bacri, Head of South and South – East Asia Desk of Paris Chamber presided over the meeting while Enamul Kabir, Ambassador of Bangladesh in France, business leaders of France and the Bangladesh businessmen working in France were also present, the FBCCI said.

Kamaluddin Ahmed, Director, FBCCI and leader of the FBCCI delegation at the meeting welcomed the French Business Community to come forward for investment in Bangladesh, a FBCCI press statement said on Saturday.

The FBCCI leaders also urged the French business people for establishing educational and vocational training institutes in Bangladesh to facilitate jobs for the unemployed people of the country.

The Bangladesh Ambassador presented the current business scenario of Bangladesh and requested the French business people to come forward with investment projects in Bangladesh, according to the statement.
