Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Energy & Power Editor Mollah Amzad Hossain and Daily Prothom Alo special correspondent Arun Karmakar have been elected uncontested the chairman and executive director respectively of the Forum for Energy Reporters Bangladesh (FERB).
Chief election commissioner ASM Bazlul Huq announced the new board of directors elected uncontested for 2012-14 term at the biennial general meeting of the forum held at the National Press Club on Saturday.
Outgoing executive director Shaheen Chowdhury presented his report at the meeting, presided over by outgoing chairman Kashem Humayun, a press statement said.
The meeting adopted four amendment resolutions, including a proposal to induct two more members in the board.
Besides, the meeting decided to offer associate membership to the public relations and information officers of different organizations related to the energy sector.
It also decided to form an advisory council drawing energy experts from different organizations and senior journalists.
