Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Finance Minister AMA Muhith will place separate statements before the parliament on the first two quarters of the current fiscal (July-December) of the country’s economy in the first week of March this year.
The finance minister disclosed this when the newly elected office bearers of the Economic Reporters Forum (ERF) met him at his secretariat office in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Muhith also said that a seminar on ‘State of the Economy’ will be held on March 31, organized by the Ministry of Finance and initiated by the ruling Awami League, a senior ERF member told BBN after the meeting. 
Country’s leading think tanks — Bangladesh Institute of Development Studies (BIDS), Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD), Policy Research Institute (PRI), Economic Research Group (ERG), and Policy Participation and Research Institute (PPRI) — are likely to take part at the seminar.
