Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The central bank of Bangladesh will unveil its Financial Stability Report for the year 2010 on Monday, focusing the performance of the country’s financial sector, officials told BBN in Dhaka on Sunday.
Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Atiur Rahman will formally release the report, the first in its history, at a meeting with the bankers on Monday afternoon.
“The central bank has prepared the report highlighting the overall performances of the commercial banks, non-banking financial institutions, insurance companies and the capital market,” a BB senior official said.
He also said performances of the banking sector in the current calendar year will also be reviewed at the meeting.
