Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Five members of a family were burned to death as a devastating fire broke out at a house in the country’s central Faridpur district early Saturday, police said.
The fire originated at a house at Sakandanazirpur village in Bhanga upazila (sub-district) at about 12:30 am and burned five members of his family to death as they could not come out from the burning house, local police official reportedly said.
On information, fire fighters rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze with the help of local people after one hour of frantic efforts, he added.
The police official also said the fire might have started from the kitchen of the house.
