Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Two people were killed when a fire broke out at a residential hotel in the old part of the capital Dhaka Friday.
The fire originated at about 3:24am (local time) inside ‘Bangladesh Muslim Abasik Hotel’ located on the 1st floor of a two-storey semi-pucca establishment at 148 Siddique Bazar under Bangshal police station, a fire service official said.
On information, four firefighting units went to the spot and doused the flame at about 6:50am, the official added.
The official also said two boarders were burnt to death in the fire incident. “The reason behind the fire could not be ascertained immediately.”
