Islamabad, Pakistan (BBN)- At least five people were killed and 25 others wounded when a suicide bomber blew up a car packed with explosives in a the country’s northwestern Jandola town on Thursday.

Several shops and vehicles were completely destroyed in the blast, The News International, according to reports.

Security forces cordoned off the area following the blast, while the dead and inured were being shifted to nearby hospitals

Pakistan‘s troops are currently engaged in an operation against Taliban in northwestern Swat valley which has displaced 1.5 million people.
