Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Foreign Minister Dr Dipu Moni, who is leading a four-member delegation, arrived in Saudi capital Riyadh early hours on Tuesday.
She was warmly welcomed by Saudi Deputy Minister for Protocol Affairs Ambassador Alaudeen Abduhu Al-Askary at King Khaled International Airport in Riyadh.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the KSA M Shahidul Islam and Consul General of Bangladesh in Jeddah Nazmul Islam and officials of Bangladesh Mission in Riyadh were also present at the airport.
Dipu Moni is expected to hold official talks with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al Faisal on Wednesday, a foreign ministry press statement said on Tuesday.
She will brief the Saudi foreign minister on steps taken by the government and progress of the investigation into the killing of Khalaf Al Ali, a Saudi embassy official who was murdered in Dhaka on March 6, official sources said.
The foreign minister is also expected to discuss the entire range of bilateral issues, including opening of import of manpower from Bangladesh.
