Foreign trade thru Sonamosjid land port suspended

Chapainawabganj, Bangladesh (BBN)- Export-Import activities through Sonamosjid land port will remain suspended for five days from Monday to Friday on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr festival.
Sonamosjid Clearing and Forwarding Agents’ Association has decided to suspend their functions till Friday on the occasion of Eid. Normal activities at the port will resume from Saturday.
Export-import activities at the port will remain suspended till Friday this week as the C&F agents have decided to suspend their activities till that time, a local customs official confirmed.
Officials of the Panama Sonamosjid Port Link Limited, the private port management company, said a directive has been issued by the Bangladesh Land Port Authority to keep running the export-import activities even on the government holidays, except for the Eid-day.
