Former Indian President Abul Kalam to visit Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam will visit Bangladesh from July 19 to 21 to attend the first convocation of University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS).

President Zillur Rahman and Dr Kalam will attend the annual convocation, an Indian High Commission press statement in the capital, Dhaka on Thursday.

Dr. Kalam will also meet Nobel Laureate Prof. Muhammad Yunus during his stay in Bangladesh.

He will attend a dinner to be hosted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“In addition, Dr Abdul Kalam will visit University of Dhaka, and Viquarunnessa Noon School and College, Dhaka and interact with the students and faculty members at the two institutions,” the statement added.
