Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Three workers were killed and 10 others wounded in a fire that broke out after a gas cylinder explosion at a blade factory in the country’s central Gazipur district Tuesday.
A gas cylinder exploded on the ground floor of the two-storey Bidyut Bangladesh Private Limited at Masimpur in Tongi Industrial area of Gazipur district with a big bang around 12:30am (local time), witnesses said.
On worker was burnt alive while two others succumbed to their injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Almost all the workers except one managed to come out of the factory during the fire, local police official Jahirul Haque reportedly confirmed.
