Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Sangbadik Sramik Karmachari Oikya Parishad (SSKOP) has warned of launching tough movement if the gazette notification for formation of the 8th Wage Board is not announced by March 10 this year.
The leaders of SSKOP have blasted the information minister for breaking his promise to form the board within first week of February.
The board, which was supposed to be formed by first week of February, was not yet formed despite the prime minister's (PM) directive and press release issued by information ministry, they said, expressing their dissatisfaction over the delay, according to a joint press statement, issued on Saturday.
They sought the intervention of the PM to form the board by March 10. Else, they warned of launching tough movement, including the resignation of information minister.
Co-conveners of the Parishad Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Ruhul Amin Gazi and Mohammad Almagir Hossain Khan, among others, included in the signatories to the statement.
