GBP gains against USD

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The British Pound (GBP) rose to a three-week high against the Greenback amid expectations of rising stock prices and increased retail sales.

GBP traded at 1.6361 against the USD, according to reports.

The European currency (EUR) retreated from a 14 month high against the US Dollar (USD) as declines in US equities curbed the demand for higher-yielding assets. EUR traded at 1.4844 against the Greenback in Tokyo this morning.
