German radio to launch Bangla program in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s international broadcaster, will officially launch Bangla program in DW-Radio from next Wednesday in Bangladesh.

The program will be broadcasted via Bangladesh Betar’s FM network in Dhaka, Chittagong, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi and Rangpur daily from 8:00am to 8:30am and from 8:00pm to 8:30pm, an announcement said in Dhaka.

The Radio has been continuing test transmission since March 9 last following an agreement with the state-run Bangladesh Betar.

It offers international and regional news and 10-minute radio magazine on different issues including youth, health, women, music, science, environment and sports.
