Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– GMG Airlines has increased its number of domestic flights as part of its new strategy to capture more shares from domestic operation.

The airlines had one flight at 10-55 am to Chittagong from Dhaka daily.

But with rising demand in the domestic market the airline has decided to increase the flight frequencies to Chittagong and resume its flight to Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet.

Now, the airline will operate two flights a day to Chittagong, one at 07-15 am and another at 10-55 am (local time).

GMG will resume its flights to Sylhet and Cox’s Bazar at 11-00 am and 01-45 pm daily respectively from January 20 this year.

The Airlines, owned by the BEXIMCO Group, began its journey on April 6, 1998 by launching domestic route service.

In September 2004, it entered the international route by introducing flights between Chittagong and Kolkata, the airlines said in a press statement.
