Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Bangladesh Ambassador to the USA Akramul Qader has visited the Google headquarters in San Jose, California on Friday, as part of a conference on social media.
The US Special Operations Command organized the Sovereign Challenge Conference on social media, where new media organizations such as Google, face-book, Craig list and Craig connects conducted briefing sessions, a message in Dhaka said on Sunday.
Ambassador Akramul Qader attended briefing sessions and met a Bangladesh delegation working at Google.
He exchanged views on how they can contribute to the strengthening of ICT infrastructure in Bangladesh.
Twelve software engineers of Bangladesh, now Google staff, also have a number of ideas to the Bangladesh envoy, who urged Google to open up an office in Dhaka.
The diplomat also assured Google of offering all supports from Bangladesh side. The Google officials, led by Software Engineer Shishir Khan, have appreciated Ambassador Qader for taking endeavours and visiting Silicon Valley.
